Lately I have just been LOVING the color yellow. I think because it reminds me of sunshine and my mom (it’s her favorite color), so I’ve been really drawn to it. Maine has been cold and I’m currently still more times than not wearing my winter jacket. But on the rare occurrence that the sun decides to poke its way through the clouds, you can catch me wearing these yellow sandals from Target. I’ve linked everything in the pictures throughout this post and have included additional links at the end!

Onto the Sandals
Madison Nelson on Instagram (@heymadinelson) showed a picture with her wearing these and I just about dropped what I was doing and decided to get myself a pair. I was able to get them when Target had a BOGO buy one get one ½ off so I scored another pair of shoes!
These shoes are definitely a unique pair in my wardrobe. Being on a college budget, I normally stick to very basic shoes that are black or brown. I was able to get these sandals for about $25 and I couldn’t resist! They run for $32.99 and they are from Target’s brand “Universal Thread”.
Besides the color, I love how it’s a platform shoe which helps me get a bit of height since I’m 5’4”. ALSO! If you aren’t into the color yellow, they also come in a cognac and a black color as well. I’m very inclined to get both of them.
How I Style These Sandals
I wore these shoes for Easter Sunday and I gotta say, they took some breaking in to become comfortable. The second time I wore them, they got so much better. So if you purchase these and think they won’t be comfy, just give it some time!
Because I wanted a more Spring time look, I went for a lighter wash boyfriend jean. I love how the light wash worked so well with the yellow sandals. They would also look cute with a darker wash too! I got these boyfriend jeans from Old Navy and I own them in a couple washes, they are so dang comfortable and I actually don’t need a belt with them to keep them up! They run true to size and I love how you can cuff the bottom. My shirt is also from Old Navy a while back but I’ll link a similar style shirt.
To make the outfit more focused on the shoes, I went with stud earrings from J. Crew Factory (for only $11!!!). I kept my outfit on the more blue toned to really make the shoes pop.
Let me know if you want to see me style any other pieces of clothing!
