Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Happy Blogmas Day Three everyone! One of my favorite parts about each new season is the fashion and style that goes with it. Even though during winter we are often bundled up in tons of layers, I love how cozy and warm everything is! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite winter wardrobe essentials.

If you didn’t know, I live in Maine, where we have a proper snowy winter. Living here, you need to have essentials to stay warm and survive in the freezing temperatures. Whenever I tell people that I live in Maine, they ask how I survive in the winter? Well let me tell you, it’s all about what you wear!

When I first moved here, I absolutely was not prepared for the harsh reality that was winter. I had no idea what to wear or what clothing to wear. Hats

Besides a jacket, hats are the best part of my winter wardrobe. You will rarely see me without a hat on during the cold winter months! I love all type of beanies and own probably way too many!

Scarves

Nothing like a fun scarf to help brighten up an all black outfit. I love to buy them in bright colors because I own a black winter jacket.

Gloves

Whether you’re just walking around outside or shoveling your driveway, gloves are an essential! I love the ones that are touch screen compatible so you don’t need to take them off!

Jackets

Last year, I wrote an entire post about my winter jacket. I am so in love with it. I had no idea how much of a difference a good winter jacket makes during this time of year. I’m able to spend time outside without any kind of problem, regardless of the temperature.

Sweaters

If you live in a cold climate, you already know that sweaters are your best friend during winter. I cannot get enough of them. I tend to stick to really chunky ones and aim for turtlenecks if I know I’ll be outside at all.

Boots

There is nothing worse than having shoes that let water in and can’t get dirty. I am in love with my LL Bean boots for the winter. I probably wear them 5 days a week when it snows. They keep my feet warm, are water resistant, and easy to clean off.
