Valentine’s Day is a little over two weeks away! Anyone else excited for it? Whether you are celebrating with your significant other or your gal pals, it’s always fun to decorate your space for the day! Today, I’m sharing how to style your bar cart: Valentine’s Day edition!
Over the holidays, I did a Christmas version, so I thought I would keep it going for all of the future holidays! Obviously I don’t go all crazy for Valentine’s Day decor like I do for Christmas, so I find that decorating just one or two spaces in your home can help it feel more special. For myself, I have decorated my bar cart and placed some little trinkets on my coffee table!
Because I live in an apartment, I didn’t want to go too crazy with the v-day decor because I have limited storage space. I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on decor that would only be up a couple of weeks. With all of that said, I’m going to share some budget and storage friendly tips throughout this post!

I love getting these little wall art hangings that Target puts out for each holiday. Because it is on the smaller side, it’ll be very easy to store during the off season. I think it completely helped add to the bar cart space.
For our bar cart, I added these adorable heart lights along the edge. I love how much they completely transform the cart! I have also purchased bright pink lights on a white strand that are super cute if you don’t like the heart version! I found these in the Target dollar section, but I’ve linked some similar ones below!
What V-Day is complete without flowers? I added some cute purple ones to the top of the bar cart. I am the type of person that almost always has flowers, so why not pick up some colorful ones that match? Flowers are also a great way to add some color without having to store the decor later on.
Next to the flowers I added a large jar filled with pink and silver wrapped candies. I love the big candy jar because I can easily switch out what’s inside of it depending on the season. On the other side, I have a mason jar filled with red candy and put some red heart sticks in it as well.
I love adding seasonal quotes to my letter board. I love this quote I chose (just search “love letterboard quotes” on Pinterest to find more)! Letter boards are a very inexpensive way to add some festive spirit without having to spend a ton of money. They can also be used all year long.
Candles are also a great way to make the space feel more special! I’m going to let you guys in on a little secret. That silver candle goes perfectly with my apartment decor and this bar cart, but it’s an old Christmas candle! I just use it for decor during the other months of the year. If you have a pretty candle, use it, it doesn’t matter what it smells like!
Rose + Pink Drinks
Obviously a bar cart can hold alcohol! I think that adding some rose or pink-decorated wine bottles would be super cute to add to your wine rack or standing upright! You could also add some cute pink wine cups if you had those! The super cute simple syrups are from cutest company in Oregon!
As you see on the bottom shelf, I added some pink and red books to help give my green pitcher some height. These books were ones that I already had, so a completely free way to add in some color!
Heart Trinket Dishes
Adding trinkets like the heart dishes can be a very inexpensive way to decorate. I filled mine with candy, but you can fill up with anything! I’ve also used the larger one by our front door for our keys to go in! These ones were only $3 in the Target dollar section!
