How to Style Velcro Shoes | Weekly Obsession- Hey It's Camille Grey

Welcome to another Weekly Obsession! This may be my biggest obsession yet-velcro shoes! Are they the most trendiest or “coolest” shoes? Probably not, but I am so obsessed with them I can’t even explain it. I saw my first pair at Target when they were on sale. Then, when I went back, they had them in a second color. Then I saw on Target’s website that there was a third color. Guess who is a proud owner of three pairs of velcro shoes? Me, this girl right here. Not going to lie that I check once a week to see if a new color pops up. No shame in that right?

If you’re new to my blog or my weekly obsession segment, let me explain! Every Thursday I share what I am currently obsessing over. It can be anything from a color (such as my pink post a few weeks ago) or a fashion trend such as hair scarves. I wanted to have the space to write an entire blog post about one subject and give it the attention it deserves.

I have been absolutely loving these velcro shoes. They are so comfortable and very affordable. I love how they come in three colors, so you can pick which one will suit your style. The blue and pink ones are more of a suede/velvet material while the white ones are more like a typical sneaker.

These shoes run true to size. I am normally a 6.5 and got a 6.5. I also want to let you guys know that most of the sizes are available in a wide as well!

Pro tip: these are great traveling shoes! I hate having to undo laces at an airport, so these were so easy to take on and off going through security! I wore them both to and from my recent trip to California.

Pink Velcro Shoes

Pink shoes are so much fun! I love how they add a bit of color to your outfit. I wore mine with a light wash denim and a black/white striped shirt. Have you guys tried the new lemon elderflower soda from Trader Joe’s? It’s a great summertime drink! Also who can resist buying flowers when atTrader Joes? I just love yellow flowers.

Blue Velcro Shoes

Because the blue shoes are so light, I almost consider them to be a neutral. I love how they can spice up an outfit, or just blend right in. I wore them in my recent 3 Affordable outfits for the Fourth of July post and my 10 Instagram Worthy Spots in San Diego post.

Both of these outfits are on the more casual side. In the first one, the blue shoes help add some color to my neutral top and shorts. The second outfit shows you how the shoes can blend into the outfit. Funny how these pics are months apart and I’m wearing the same hair scarf. I probably wear it once a week!

White Velcro Shoes

Ok, even though I said that velcro shoes may not be the most trendy, these ones kinda are. So many people are wearing white sneakers with cute dresses and I just love it! It helps dress down a girly outfit and make it more practical than heels too!

I paired mine with a errand running type of outfit. I “borrowed” this shirt from my sis! Normally I don’t go for graphic tees but I couldn’t resist the bright pink color on this one. The jean shorts are my go to ones, they are slightly higher waisted and longer inseam so they are perfect for running around in.

Now be honest with me, did I convince you that velcro shoes are actually kind of cool? I can’t seem to get my boyfriend to like them. He calls them my “old lady shoes”- haha! Regardless, I will keep on rockin my shoes! Let me know which pair are your fav!
