How to Organize The Bathroom Linen Closet

Happy Monday friends! I am back with another organizational blog post! Today is all about the bathroom linen closet! This is probably one of the most organized spaces in our apartment and I love it! When I organize my bathroom linen closet, I like to have everything exactly where I can see it.

I do want to mention that every person’s need is going to be different. We have a laundry area, so I don’t have laundry products in this closet, same thing with beauty products, etc. This blog post is more to help you organize the things that you have in your own closet!

How to Organize the Bathroom Linen Closet

I found these white containers from Target and I absolutely love them. If you saw my kitchen sink organization, then you’ll have seen the larger version before! They are plastic, which is great to clean if anything spills and super affordable.

Because my boyfriend and I are the only ones living here, we don’t have too many bathroom products, such as bath/hand towels. If you have more people living in your home, you can always add more storage bins!

Organize By Category

If you notice in the photos, every container has its own category of items, I have two medicine ones, shaving/dental hygiene one, shower products, Zach’s stuff, etc. Each one is organized by category, which makes it easy to find what I am looking for. This is my favorite way to organize the bathroom linen closet.

If you have storage bins with lids, I would recommend to label the outside of them. Because ours are open, I didn’t feel the need to do so, but it would look cute!

Organize by Height

If you have children who may want/need to have their own container, such as for their own bathroom supplies, I would recommend to put their storage bin at their eye height. Any stackable storage bins that don’t need to be accessed every day would be perfect  at the top of your closet to use up any vertical space.

If you have items that aren’t in your daily rotation, keep those near the top or the bottom of your closet. I love having everything that I use on a daily basis right at eye level where I can see them.

Utilize Every Space

On the very top shelf, I keep paper towels, paper napkins and my vitamins. Because the paper towels are taller than most of our bathroom products, it helps utilize the vertical space here.

The bottom “shelf” or floor is all cleaning products for the bathroom. I prefer to keep these at the bottom because it would be much easier to clean up those kind of spills. I love keeping these items here, opposed to under the kitchen sink because it makes it easier to actually clean the bathroom if it’s right there anyways.

This bottom and top space is also taller than the wall shelves, so if I had more items to put in here, I would add some stackable storage as well to utilize the height more.
