10 Instagram Worthy Spots in Washington DC
Hey friends! Welcome to Washington DC! I am so excited to share with you guys another 10 Instagram Worthy Spots blog post. I recently visited my family in Maryland and we took some trips to DC.
I’ll be sharing 10 unique spots in DC that will be perfect for taking photos. The whole point of this blog series is to share with you guys “Instagram worthy” places in cities that aren’t all over Instagram. You can always go to the typical spots, but this way you are getting a more unique photo for the ‘gram.
This series is so much fun to do. It makes me travel a bit more and see more of cities that I’ve grown up going to. Let me know which city you think I should visit next! I’m thinking Freeport, Maine!

1. The Library of Congress
Address: 101 Independence Ave SE
The Library of Congress has so many beautiful elements to the exterior. I love the steps and the fountain at the front of it. You would be able to capture a variety of photos here.

2. Summerhouse
Address: 1st St NW West Front Lawn US Capitol Building
This little watering hole is truly a gem. It’s tucked away on the US Capitol Building’s lawn and can be a bit hard to see if driving.

3. Pershing Park
Address: 1423 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Again, I just love steps so when I walked by this place I knew it had to go on this list. It’s kind of incredible that there are parks like this in the middle of Washington DC. Also-you guys need to get this denim dress! I can’t stop wearing it, it’s so stinkin’ adorable.

4. Haagen Daz
Address: G St Alley
I love how bright the red color of the building is. You can also cool down with some ice cream while you are here!

5. Clyde’s Alley Bar
Address: G St Alley
The exterior of this bar is so rustic and blue. I love the blue doors, they make for a perfect background to any outfit.

6. National Bank of Washington
Address: 630 Indiana Ave NW
I loved how this building didn’t look like your typical bank. Along the side of the building are some steps that make for a perfect picture. There is also a Starbucks across the street for a quick coffee fix too!

7. National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden
Address: 797 Madison Dr NW
Because this is a sculpture garden, there are so many places to take photos. I especially loved the fountain. I thought the water shooting up makes any photo look extra awesome.

8. Forever 21 Building
Address: 1001 G St NW
If you have ever been to a Forever 21, then you know that they typically aren’t anything special. However this one is in the historic flagship Woodward and Lothrop building, which was a department store.

9. White Storybook Wall
Address: 470 8th St NW
I couldn’t find any information about what this building actually is, but it reminds me of a storybook so that’s what I’m calling it. I love the black print against the white wall. It adds a bit more texture than your average white wall.

10. J. Edgar Hoover Building
Address: 935 Pennsylvania Ave NW
WOW-the FBI building! I used the front of the building for a recent Fourth of July post because of all the American flags up. If you turn the corner, you can see a really pretty sidewalk with trees and bushes that make for a different kind of photo.

Which Instagram worthy spot was your favorite? Let me know if you have any places that I should visit!
