Happy New Year!! Even though this post is a couple days late, I hope you are all entering the new year with motivation, positivity and happiness! I have finally been able to sit down and write a blog post after the craziness of the holidays! Today I’m sharing my favorite purchases of 2018! I’ve grouped them all by category so it’s easy to shop. To shop, you can either click on the image or the pink text of the item!
My Favorite Purchases of 2018
*Some of the below links are affiliate links and are at no additional cost to you. I have only included links to products that I have used myself and would recommend to others.*
Chelsea Booties: Even though I got these towards the end of 2018, they were definitely my most worn shoe. I wear them all of the time (weather permitting!) and I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. You can easily dress them up or down and they are comfortable enough to walk around in.
Old Navy Straight Leg Jeans: I’ve written multiple blog posts about these jeans this past year because they are just that great! They’ve been a staple in my wardrobe and I’ve worn them for all four seasons. They are the comfiest pair of jeans that I own-I’ll even wear them on cross country flights! I’ve linked the three that I own!
Clear Glasses: I have never received as many compliments on something I’m wearing as I do when I wear these glasses. I think they are just the cutest glasses, I love how they are completely clear so they go with any kind of outfit. They’ve become my everyday glasses and don’t bother my ears when I wear them for long periods of time. You can buy them with your prescription or with no prescription for some extra style!
Pom Pom Beanie: I love this beanie so much, I actually own it in four different colors! I love how they are all one color so it’s pretty easy to match to any outfit. This beanie comes in a ton of different colors- by the end of 2019, I’m sure I’ll own them all!
Beauty + Skincare
Love Beauty & Planet Body Wash: I have super sensitive skin, so I’m always a bit apprehensive to try a new body wash. However, this one is absolutely amazing! It’s made with natural ingredients, doesn’t irritate my skin and leaves you smelling absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this brand to anyone who wants a more natural shower products!
Natural Deodorant: I’ve been wanting a natural deodorant for quite some time now and I absolutely love this one! The smell is amazing and I find that it works pretty similar to your average deodorant, just without all the harsh chemicals!
YesTo Face Masks: It’s no secret that I love the YesTo face masks. I’ve been posting about them for quite some time now, and they have completely helped my skin look better than it has in a while. They have a variety of different types depending on your skin type and any problems you are having with it.
Grove Collaborative Chapstick: I didn’t know that I could love a chapstick as much as I love this one. It’s been a game changer when it comes to the hydration of my lips, especially in Maine’s cold weather. I will never go back to any other kind of chapstick.
Throw Blanket: I bought this blanket when it was on sale cause you can never have enough throw blankets right? Well I immediately purchases 3 more! This is the softest throw blanket I’ve ever felt!
Accent Chair: I’ve wanted an accent chair for quite some time now, so I finally made the purchase of this mid-century one and I’m in love! It goes perfectly with the style of our apartment and adds some extra seating as well!
Swiffer Wet Jet: When we first moved into the apartment, I got the basic Swiffer sweeper which always took so long to clean the floors. I finally went ahead and got the wet jet! It’s definitely made me want to clean the floors more often and it’s so easy to use.
Spice Rack: If you’re like me, you probably have a crazy full spice cabinet that gives you a headache just looking at it! I finally bought a spice rack to help combat the chaos of the cabinet and it’s been so awesome! I love being able to see all of my spices in one area without having to dig through them all!
Blogging + Organization
Bullet Journal: This year I finally got really into bullet journaling. I use one of mine ( I know have 3!) to organize all of my social media content. It’s been incredibly helpful to help me stay organized and schedule everything. Of all of my purchases this year, the bullet journal has got to be my favorite. It’s kept me sane with all the craziness of life!
Happy Planner: I’ve also gotten into using my Happy Planner to plan my school schedule and assignment due dates. Having one spot for everything related to college stuff has been super helpful in getting me on track of assignment due dates and having things done early.
Tailwind: This past year I got more into investing in my blog and myself, so I finally went ahead and started paying for Tailwind. It’s completely helped my blog grow and reach a larger audience. If you want to learn more about how I did that and what Tailwind is, click here!
