How to Expand Your Blog Reach

How to Expand Your Blog Reach | Hey It's Camille Grey #blog #blogtober #blogging #blogginghowto #howtoblog

When you first start writing a blog, it’s hard to figure out how and where to promote it. Do you share it on your personal Facebook page? Do you even want your friends and family to know about it? When I first started, I had no idea where to begin. There are so many resources on the internet to share your content, where on earth do you start? For Blogtober Day Twenty-Seven, I’m sharing how to expand your blog reach!

*Some of the below links are affiliate links and are at no additional cost to you. I have only included links to products that I have used myself and would recommend to others.*

Pinterest

Pinterest is the number one source of traffic to my blog! In fact, it’s 95% of my traffic! If you want to check out my Pinterest, click here! I would have a seriously small number of people to my blog without it. Imagine a place where you can share your content with people from literally all over the world. Then, they can share it with even more people! Pinterest is an awesome tool that I think every blogger should be using. It’s free for you to use too! Having a Pinterest Business account allows you to check out the analytics of how your pins are doing. You’re able to see the impressions, saves and clicks to your website.

Tailwind

You guys know I love Tailwind. It’s a website that pins your pins to Pinterest at the optimal times. You can also schedule out pins for the future as well. I love being able to schedule out my pins a week or two in advance, especially when I get busy! They also released a new feature where you can set up a SmartLoop to share your pins on a recurring basis. I like to see what my top pins are, then set them recurring every month or so! When you write a blog post, it shouldn’t just be seen for the day you posted it! There is also an option to set it up on a seasonal basis. For example, you may want your holiday pins to be circulating Pinterest only during the holidays. If you want to try out Tailwind for FREE for a month, click here!

Facebook Blog Page

I created a separate blog page for all of my blog content. While it’s not the biggest source of traffic to my blog, it does still bring some people to it! You are also able to invite friends and family to like your page, which helps expand your blog reach that way. I’ve heard that people don’t always want their family members to see that they have a blog, no problem! You don’t need to invite them to “like” your blog page! If you want to check out how I set mine up, click here!

Instagram

I love using Instagram to share my blog content! I promote it on my Instagram Stories and in my captions. I also have a whole Highlight reel where I’ve saved all of my Blogtober content to. If you have over 10,000 followers on Instagram, you can create a swipe up link where your followers can be sent directly to your blog link! I don’t, but I still share that I have a link to the post in my bio page. This is such an easy way to share your content. Here is a link to my Instagram page!

Twitter

I’m still a bit of a newbie when it comes to Twitter. I don’t quite necessarily know what I’m doing, but I still love sharing my content on this social media platform! I actually have my blog set up to where when I post a blog post, it automatically shares it to my Twitter page and Facebook Blog page. The last couple of weeks, I’ve been engaging more with other bloggers on there and have noticed quite a difference when it comes to my reach for my blog. Check out my Twitter page here!
