This one may be obvious, but if you’re already on campus, stay in “school mode”! I love to head to the library and crank out some extra study time. I love when I have a test after my break, because it means I get in some more studying. I like to look through my planner and see what tests/exams I have coming up. I’ll also start studying for any future exams at this time. My favorite planner is the Happy Planner!
Prepare for your Classes
I love to have my notes written out before my classes start. It lets me focus on what the professor is saying and not have to worry about missing any notes. It’s also a great time to go through the assignments due and make sure you have everything you need. There have been so many times when I forget to do an assignment and I’m able to finish it during the break! Want to learn more about note taking for your classes? Click here to find out!
When I’m on campus, I’m generally heading to and from classes. I don’t typically spend extra time looking at the campus or finding cool spots to study. It’s a good way to get in a bit of exercise too! You’ll also be able to help out incoming freshman when they are lost because you know where everything is!
Get College Paperwork Done
This is a perfect time to meet with advisors, the financial aid office, the registrar’s office, etc. It’s not fun to have to head to campus just for those meetings, so schedule them when you are already on campus! Sometimes these meetings can take a while too, so it’s perfect when you have a longer break!
Have an On Campus Job
This is my favorite thing to do in between classes. Whether you have work study available or just work on campus, it’s a great way to maximize your time on campus! I love being able to work while I’m in between classes. It helps me stay productive. I work at a library, so I’m even able to work on homework during that time!
