How to Style: Block Heels

Hi Friends! Happy Thursday! You know what that means… Weekly Obsession time! Today is all about block heels! I just absolutely love this style of heels. They make any outfit instantly more dressy and feminine. I love wearing mine with dresses, skirts and even pants!

If you know me, you’ll know that I really don’t wear a lot of heels. I’m definitely more of a flat sandal kind of gal. Because of that, it means when I do actually wear them, I am super clumsy. However, I walk perfect in these bad boys! These shoes are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in! Which makes them perfect in my book. Because the heels have thin straps, it helps elongate your legs, which being 5’4″, I want!

The exact block heels I have are from Target last summer. They did redo the style of them slightly so I will leave a link to the new ones down below! They also have a lower heeled version available if you aren’t into wearing heels and an even higher heeled version if you are! Both are totally cute!

Dressy Outfit

My skirt and top are also from a couple seasons ago so I will leave some similar pieces down below. In this outfit, I wore the block heels with this gorgeous skirt, crop top, straw hat and a straw bag. I feel like I should have been walking around in Europe on vacation in this outfit! The black straw hat and black band in the skirt ties in the color of the block heels. This helps bring the outfit all together and creates a more cohesive look.

Casual Date Night Outfit

This outfit shows how you can wear these with some simple jeans and they completely change up the outfit. I wore these with white jeans (similar link below) and a black tank top. For this evening look, I wore the bag from the first outfit because I’m obsessed with straw bags. Even though I prefer to have at home date nights in PJ’s, I would totally wear this for a date night out. I think that the block heels make the outfit more dressy even though I’m wearing ripped jeans.
