Hi Everyone! Welcome to another weekly obsession! I am so excited to share this week’s obsession: floppy hats! If you’re new to this part of my blog let me explain. Each week I share a favorite thing I am absolutely loving, or obsessing over. I wanted a way to write about one product in particular and give it all the attention.
Did you catch my last weekly obsession? Read it here.
Ever since the weather has gotten warmer, all I want to do is wear my big floppy hats. They not only keep the sun out of your face but they hide a bad hair day! I have fallen in love with how they bring a whole outfit together or spice up a simple look.
I recently just visited California and managed to bring three of these hats in a suitcase-they are that essential to me. Even though they aren’t the most practical thing to shove in a suitcase-a girl’s gotta have her hats!
You can find these types of hats at almost every single retailer. I got all three of mine at Target because they are very affordable (between $12-$15) and I was able to find a variety of colors and styles. I know that once the weather gets colder I’ll switch over the more light hats for thicker ones!
In today’s post I’m going to share three different hats and how I styled them.

Outfit #1: The Blue Hat
I absolutely love everything about this outfit. I have a longer torso so when I find jumpsuits/rompers that fit me, I immediately snatch them up. These shoes also come in three different colors (blue, pink and white). I love how the blue hat matches the jumpsuit perfectly.
Outfit #2: The Black Hat
This is such a fun date night outfit. Because of the black color it looks a bit more date night-esque. Unfortunately this print isn’t sold currently but Old Navy is selling a ton of similar prints in this same style dress! I love how it is so light and airy, yet not see through at all. You all know how much I love these shoes. I even did an entire blog post on them alone (read here). They are beyond comfortable and can be dressed up or down.
Outfit #3: The Straw Hat
This is the more common style hat that you are going to find. The straw hat is almost essential to an awesome summer! I tend to wear more black so I love how the black strap helps accent the rest of my outfit. This outfit was perfect for a walk along the water which tends to be a bit colder than where I live.
My sweater and shirt are from last year but I linked some very similar pieces below. I also think that everyone owns a white button down! (:
