3 Ways to Style Straight Leg Jeans
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not very adventurous in my jeans. I typically stick to skinny and bootcut and that’s about it. Never venturing out into the vast world of jeans. However, I’ve been finding myself wanting to try new styles. Hence the purchase of these straight leg jeans.

I headed over to my favorite store for pants: Old Navy. Lo and behold they had a bunch of straight leg jeans. I ended up going with a lighter wash to start my new collection. I never thought straight pants would look good on me due to my short legs, but oh my goodness I think these do a pretty good job! They are the most comfortable pair of pants I own now. They do get looser as you wear them, which personally I wanted. I think it helped them look a bit more worn in.
I got my straight leg jeans from Old Navy and they run for $35. Wait until Old Navy has a sale (which happens all the time) to get them for even less! I waited until they were 50% off! They have them in a darker wash and a black pair as well, which I think I may order when I’m done with this post!

Today, I’ll show you my top three favorite ways on how I style my straight leg jeans. Not everything is from this season, but I’m sure you have similar pieces in your wardrobe! I’ll leave links to similar items if I can’t find the original. I have already worn these outfits multiple times and I’ve only had the pants for about two weeks! Once I find an outfit I love, I tend to wear it over and over again!

Outfit One
For this outfit I went for something a bit more edgy. The combat heeled booties make the jeans more punk while the sweater and collared shirt help tone it down. I love mixing blues and blacks together. For this look, my navy blue sweater had a bit of black in it which helped tie in the look. I also went for some blue socks that you can see when I walk. I love how the dark black looks against the light blue straight leg pants, that kind of contrast helped break up the pieces.
WINTER TIP: Because it’s still snowing here in Maine, it can be hard to look cute in the winter. This outfit is perfect to swap out the vest for a big puffy parka and to add a hat to keep warm. If it is still cold where you live, then you need this winter jacket to keep warm.
Outfit Two:
This outfit is a bit more spring time weather! It’s also the perfect lounge outfit. I love comfy sweaters and jeans. I also chose to wear a similar wash of a denim shirt under my sweater. I wasn’t ready to go denim-on-denim yet, so I threw a sweater on top that makes the all denim look more wearable. I also love how the yellow scarf has similar tones to the shoes to help tie in the outfit.

Outfit Three:
To me, this outfit is a bit more preppy which I love! I used to live in Maryland where wearing Sperry’s were just about the dress code. I wore my straight leg pants with a button down and some Sperry’s. This outfit is also really easy to transition into the warmer season as well by taking off the sweater and/or vest. The jeans also help make the outfit look more casual and comfortable!
